The Show
It was March fifth,
We had practiced for many weeks,
Learning new steps and new positions,
And we knew the conditions,
We had to do our best,
Through God nonetheless,
We had to let go of our feet,
Or take the defeat,
The devil wanted us to hold on,
But the show had to go on,
We went on stage with God's spirit,
We knew we had to do it,
It was such an amazement,
That the crowd fell silent,
Everything was executed to perfection,
Since we had God's direction,
We knew we had nothing to fear,
When we heard the crowd cheer,
The devil tried to keep the show low,
But God stole the show.

The News
My dear companion,
Please pay attention,
This is not to 'muse,
But to tell the news.
Both horrible,
And wonderful,
Of bad times,
And good times.
First the bad,
'Tis so sad,
There's still temptations,
And worse conditions.
In tight positions,
There'll be bad decisions,
And some boo-boos.
O, what to do?
Now the wonderful,
'Tis so beautiful.
God loves you!
Your friends do too!
There's no need to worry,
We're here if you need us.
And God, as always,
Will set the ways.
To answer the question of,
'What to do?' in bad times.
We won't always have the answers,
But He, the One and Only, does.
To find the answer,
Just look up and ask Him.

The Drunkard
You know you shouldn't drink.
But then you don't think.
You want to be cool.
So you be a fool?
The party's over now.
And you've committed a foul.
On the way home, you're a drunk.
Now you've run into someone's trunk
You're feeling kind of lame.
And the vehicles are up in flames.
The one you love is dead.
Because you're a dread.
You were put on trial.
And now you have no smile.
Now you're in prison.
Because you made the wrong decision.
Now there's a blotch on your record.
And you can't find a good career.
Now you look back in retrospect.
And realize you've lost all respect.

No Need to Worry
With You as my light,
It's never dark at night.
I've no need to worry,
You guide me in my journey.
You preserve my life,
Even through all the strife.
I've no need to be of fright,
You help me in my fight.
You are my leader,
I'll never be a wanderer.
I've no need to fear,
For You are near.
You are my soul mate,
I'll never be an isolate.
I've no need to be afraid,
You're with me on this escapade.

No More Sin
Death no longer has its sting,
Sin has lost all its power.
In my life, sin will no longer ring.
For You have made death cower.
I will spread your words,
Your name be lifted higher than the sky.
The world, they will go towards,
For You, I shall not lie.
Whom shall I fear?
I'm not scared of evil.
I know You, my God, are near,
Now I shall do your will.
From my life, evil is gone,
For I have Jesus in my life.
This sin in my life is done,
And my life has no more strife.

All for the LORD
I can talk the talk,
To You, I shall listen.
I can walk the walk,
You give me the direction.
I can dance the dance,
You are the choreographer.
I can stand in the stance,
To You, my life is my offer.
For You I live my life,
Jesus, You are my LORD.
With You, demolished is my strife,
Because of You, I'll never be bored.
All my life I will follow You,
For You are my general.
I'll do for You, everything I do,
Even if it means an early funeral.
LORD, here am I,
I shall do Your will.
For You I would die,
And Your will, I shall fulfill.

For Jesus Lives
I will not be afraid,
Of Satan's raids,
Jesus is my strength,
I can run the length.
Because,
Sin has lost its power,
Death has lost its sting,
Satan has no power,
For Jesus lives!
The race is life-long,
Bring Jesus along.
So if I die,
I'll be blessed.
Because,
Sin has lost its power,
Death has lost its sting,
Satan has no power,
For Jesus lives!
Because he'll never let me go,
Even at my lowest low,
I'll be with the king,
For he will reign.
Because,
Sin has lost its power,
Death has lost its sting,
Satan has no power,
For Jesus lives!

Love
What is love?
Is it something everyone has,
Something I do,
Or something I wait for?
What is love?
It's not something everyone has,
Not something I do,
Nor something I wait for.
What is love?
Is it something good,
Something I feel,
Or something I go after?
What is love?
It is something good,
Something I feel,
And something I go after.
Where is love from?
Is it from me,
From Satan,
Or from technology?
Where is love from?
It's not from me,
Not from Satan,
Nor from technology.
Where is love from?
Is it from God,
From the Holy Spirit,
Or from Jesus Christ?
Where is love from?
It is from God,
From the Holy Spirit,
And from Jesus Christ.
Love is,
From God,
Not me,
Not you,
For love is good,
We are not,
Only He is good,
God is love.

This Sod
Written: July 28, 2007
As I'm on this sod,
I'll stay on track,
Even when I take flack.
For I will obey the living God!
This will take years,
There's two routes I could take,
But one of them is fake.
On the true one, I have no fears!
As I go through this journey,
I've mad my share of mistakes,
And sometimes need extra takes.
But I'm not worried, for Jesus is my attorney!
I'll eventually reach my destination,
That day, I shall see my LORD,
For I have obeyed His holy Word.
And I'll be in God's holy Nation!

The One
Written: July 22, 2007
You are the One that saved my life,
You are the One I owe my life to.
You are the One that took away my strife,
And I will forever live for you.
You planted in me a seed,
I was just a little soil.
You are all that I need,
And now my fruits won't spoil.
You are my LORD,
You are my commander.
I will obey Your Word,
I will do Your order.
You are the One I'll praise,
You are the One I wholly belong to.
You are the One I'll raise,
And I will love you too.

Past to Present
Written: August 6, 2007
I used to be under stress,
But now I have accepted You,
And You're the One I listen to,
Now that stress continues to become less!
I was trapped in a dim kingdom,
But now I have accepted Jesus,
And He can save every one of us,
Now I have been set free by Him!
I had been under Satan's power,
But now I have accepted my LORD to be God,
And God guides me through life's sod,
Now God's power has made Satan cower!
I was not the person I needed to be,
But now I have accepted Your offer of freedom,
And You said I when I die, I will enter Your Kingdom,
Now You have set me free!

Glasses
Written: 8/22/07
When I was born I could hardly see
I could see only a short, blurry distance,
I had no idea what it was at that instance,
I didn't know what to be.
As I got older, I wanted to be "cool."
That's when I got me some shades,
And they cut my savior as if they were blades,
And I later found I was just being a fool.
I discovered something new,
But to see it I had to put on seeing glasses.
It was sweeter than molasses.
It's been discovered by only a few.
But these glasses let in dangerous rays,
I then changed over to transition lenses.
They put up needed defenses.
And I wear them all my days.
I've chosen my pair,
Now you may choose yours,
As you look through the doors.
Which glasses will you wear?

The Charge of Life
Written: 11/22/07
Everyday, everywhere, everyone is charged by life.
For some, it may be to get through some strife.
For others, it is the challenge to obey Yahweh.
Yet, for others, it is to charge in the right way.
Life challenges everyone to stay pure.
God is the only one able to do that for sure.
Many decline Jesus' help, and head down the wrong course.
That will certainly lead to a place much more coarse.
Everyone's been charged to find Yahweh.
To do that, there's only one way.
His name is Jesus!
He charged to Earth to save all of us!
I'm riding with Jesus to Yahweh City!
For, obeying Him as become my tendency!
That you may go there too is what I pray.
But first, you must accept Jesus as the way.

This City
Written: 1-19-08
Something doesn't love this City.
This wall gives way to nothing that is wrong.
Something may weaken It, but It will not take any pity.
For It was built by the Almighty Company!
When this City becomes weaker,
The Company comes to reinforce It.
The City becomes stronger than ever,
And nothing is able to turn it into a pit.
The City has a Light that never fades,
Not even in the coldest night and darkest hour.
The Enemy tries to break in with blades,
But nothing goes undetected past the Watch Tower.
When the Enemy reaches this City's Wall,
He will run away to hide in cower.
For He finds that the Wall will not fall,
And the victory screams from the City just get louder and louder

The Journey
Written: 2-15-08
I started this journey long ago,
I had no clue where I'd go,
Or even who I'd come to know,
And who might become my foe.
I headed down the dirt road,
Doing everything as I was told,
I thought I was growing old,
But I was just turning cold.
I started seeing familiar things,
"Hey, a year ago, I saw those buildings."
And I recognized my familiar kings,
Who wore their old rings.
I knew I was just lost,
Going in circles at my own cost,
And beginning to freeze in the same winter's frost,
How I hated being lost!
I then saw a black sign.
"This way to Heaven" is what it was on this sign.
The arrow was straight and the sign looked fine,
So that path became mine.
Later, the path split into to two,
One was covered with logs, leaves, and dew,
The other was only covered in footsteps and fresh dew.
And both had a sign for Heaven too.
The clear path's sign was dark like the last,
I knew that path would be a blast.
The other sign was light and looked like it last,
But I couldn't travel it fast.
I took the path covered in logs,
I suffered on it more than the frogs.
I received so many flogs,
That I started to look like the old dogs.
Then I started to get warm,
My king came with a swift swarm.
To the path He was Light,
And the darkness was in fright!
He gave me new life,
And took away my strife!
He became Truth to my heart,
And I had a new start.
I know I I'm not lost anymore,
And now, I'm knocking on Heaven's door.

The Fray
When born that day,
We were born into the fray.
We can overcome it together,
It'll make everything better.
The fray isn't always physical,
But it's always spiritual.
God can show us the way,
To win the everyday fray.
Many of us are strong,
But some are for the wrong.
There are many weapons to array,
But we won't use them astray.
This fray isn't our own,
We will never be alone.
We have Jesus with our cause,
To, help take on, the barrage.
The fray may not be heard or seen,
But, affects our being.
When we do what's right,
We must show, God's might.
We win or lose the war in one decision,
To got to, Hell or to Heaven.
In Hell, we'd be P.O.W.'s,
In Heaven, God would love us.

Tidal Waves
Written on: 3-23-08
Sin came at me like a tidal wave,
Satan was pushing me towards my grave.
I was drowning in my own sin,
My hope was becoming so thin.
Then I cried upon the LORD!
For He has risen from His grave!
Lucifer was bringing down my life,
The wave was as sharp as a knife.
The sin was cutting through my soul,
My spirit had become as dark as coal.
Then I cried upon the LORD!
For He can give me new life!
I see another tidal wave coming,
It's one full of the best blessing.
It picks me up and carries me high,
Now, I feel like I can fly.
For the LORD has answered my prayer!
And I'm going to live with the King!

Meteor
Written: 6/20/08
As the planet's end came near,
Many people began to fear.
“Where will I go?,” the would say;
It was close to the final day.
An enormous meteor was destined to smite the planet.
But there was a way to survive it.
Many others took the invitation to stay in a safe cave.
The people there, well, they had a rave.
But outside, many were about to die,
for a meteor was coming from the sky.

The River
By: Jason Bogle
Written: 6/21/08
We may the river without a guide,
But that's how some people have died.
Though the river may start out at an ease,
It won't always be a breeze.
Soon the rapids grow fierce,
And some people shed a few tears.
But with the right guide the rapids are harmless.
The guide knows the rapids and always remains fearless.
The river becomes calm
After the raft passes a maelstrom1.
Many become unaware
and go for a dare.
Little can they fathom
That the river is about to become quarrelsome.
The rapids are fiercer this time.
They seem worse than any crime.
But the guide pulls the raft through,
and there's nothing else to do . . .

Bye-Bye Eden
By: Jason Bogle
Written: 11/6/08
I see a man walkin'.
Strollin' in a beautiful garden.
He appears as if nothing can destroy his peace.
His life is one of such ease.
He has all the time in the world to relax.
Not even havin' to pay a single tax.
He gets to enjoy all the fun he wants,
And has never been stressed out, not even once.
But what's that comin' this way?
Something that will not turn away?
It’s a huge blazin' wall!
One that will not fall!
It destroys everything in its path.
Surrounding the garden with its powerful wrath,
It strips the beauty from the garden.
And now the man realizes the power of the wall that’s flamin'.
The man is in awe as he looks around,
Seeing only the blazin' wall and barren ground.
He wonders how this destruction came about,
Then he remembers the fire he didn't put out.

The Fuse
By: Jason Bogle
Written: 1/28/09
Night comes and Darkness rushes in.
The Guest flicks the light switch up -
One light flickers and he hears it zap
But Darkness shoves the light out of the House.
The House transforms into a dark abyss
With the Guest unaware.
The guest tries to move around,
But he runs into obstacles -
A messed up bed, bags of powder,
A frozen computer, discs covered in dust.
He tries the switch again - nothing happens, not even a flicker.
The next switch . . . He sees a light flicker then he hears it zap.
The same happens with the rest - flash flash zap zap.
The Guest forces his way to the fuse box
And discovers the single slot filled.
The fuse is black and soiled.
He takes a look around
And discovers a second fuse
Just sitting there - white and clean.
With the fuse replaced, he walks back inside and flicks a switch.
The lights come on - room-by-room.
He begins to clean. - tidies the bed,
Disposes of the powder, unfreezes the computer,
Wipes the dust off the discs.
He can now move safely
In the House - in the light.
